Glossary
- Hourly Rate
- Compensation per hour of work. Common for part-time, freelance, and contract roles.
- Daily Rate
- Compensation per day. Calculated as hourly rate × hours per day.
- Monthly Salary
- Fixed compensation per month. Standard for full-time employees.
- Annual Salary
- Total yearly compensation. Includes base salary (monthly × 12) plus any bonuses.
- Gross Salary
- Total compensation before any taxes or deductions are applied.
- Net Salary (Take-Home)
- Salary after taxes and social security deductions. Typically 75–85% of gross.
- Bonus
- Additional performance or annual pay, represented as a percentage of your base salary.
- Working Days
- Number of days worked per month, typically 20–23 after excluding weekends and holidays.
