- Aspect Ratio
- The proportional relationship between the width and height of an image or screen. It is generally expressed in a 'width:height' format (e.g., 16:9).
- Resolution
- A value representing the detail of an image or screen, usually expressed as 'horizontal pixels × vertical pixels' (e.g., 1920×1080). Even with the same aspect ratio, different resolutions result in different image quality.
- Letterboxing / Pillarboxing
- The black bars that appear when displaying video with a mismatched aspect ratio. Black bars on the top and bottom are called letterboxing, while bars on the left and right are called pillarboxing.
- 16:9
