Glossary
- Meishi (名刺)
- Japanese business card. The standard size is 91mm × 55mm.
- Furigana (振り仮名)
- Small phonetic characters placed beside or above kanji to indicate pronunciation. Called "ruby text" in web contexts.
- Vertical writing (縦書き)
- Text is arranged top-to-bottom, columns right-to-left — the traditional Japanese writing direction.
- DPI
- Dots Per Inch. 300 DPI is the standard for print quality. This tool renders at 300dpi-equivalent resolution.
- Trim mark (裁ち落とし)
- Bleed margin for professional printing. Add 3mm if submitting to a print shop.
- jsPDF
- An open-source JavaScript PDF generation library (MIT license). Loaded from CDN on demand for PDF export.
