The Rokuyou Calendar tool lets you instantly check the Rokuyou day type (Taian, Butsumetsu, Tomobiki, etc.) for any date by converting it from the Gregorian calendar to the traditional Japanese lunar calendar. The monthly view shows the entire month's Rokuyou at a glance, perfect for planning weddings, move-ins, and auspicious events.

Glossary
- Rokuyou (六曜)
- A traditional Japanese calendar annotation system with 6 types indicating the luck of each day.
- Taian (大安)
- The luckiest day. Good for weddings, moving, business openings.
- Butsumetsu (仏滅)
- The unluckiest day. Traditionally avoided for auspicious events.
- Tomobiki (友引)
- Mixed luck—good for happy events except funerals. Noon is considered inauspicious.
- Sensho (先勝)
- Lucky in the morning, unlucky in the afternoon. Good for urgent matters.
- Senbu (先負)
- Unlucky in the morning, lucky in the afternoon. A calm, unhurried day.
- Shakkou (赤口)
- Only noon is lucky. A day associated with fire and sharp objects.
- Lunar Calendar
- Traditional Japanese calendar (Tenpo Calendar) used until 1872. Rokuyou is based on the lunar month and day.
