Device Sensor Tester
A test tool for device orientation and motion using the accelerometer and gyroscope.
Check your device\'s tilt and acceleration in real time right from your browser.
Please allow access to your device sensors to detect orientation and motion.
📐 Gyroscope (Orientation)
⚡ Accelerometer
The acquired sensor information (orientation and acceleration) is processed and displayed only within your device. It is never sent or saved to any external servers.

About Device Sensor Tester
This is a free tool that allows you to check the values of the accelerometer and gyroscope built into your smartphone or tablet in real time on your browser. It also features a simple level using the tilt of the device.
For web app developers, hardware testers, and DIYers who need a quick level, you can use this tool immediately in your browser without installing any apps.
All processing is completed within your device's browser. Sensor data is never sent to an external server, so you can use it with confidence.
How to Use
Access the Tool
Open this page on a smartphone or tablet. The numbers will not change on PCs or devices without sensors.
Grant Permission (iOS)
On iOS 13 or later, a button will appear. Tap it to allow sensor access.
Tilt and Test
Place the device on a flat surface or tilt it to see the values and the bubble move in real time.
Sensor Glossary
- Accelerometer
- A sensor that measures the acceleration of the device in motion. It detects how much force is applied to the device in which direction, including gravity.
- Gyroscope
- A sensor that measures the angular velocity (change in orientation) of the device. It is used to precisely capture the orientation and rotation of the device.
- Beta (β) / Pitch
- The front-to-back tilt of the device (X-axis rotation). It represents the forward/backward tilting motion, ranging from -180 to 180 degrees.
- Gamma (γ) / Roll
- The side-to-side tilt of the device (Y-axis rotation). It represents the left/right tilting motion, ranging from -90 to 90 degrees.
- Alpha (α) / Yaw
- The rotation of the device on a horizontal plane (Z-axis rotation). It indicates which direction the device is pointing, similar to a compass.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q.The sensor does not respond on my iOS device.
- In Safari on iOS 13 and later, user permission is required to access sensors for privacy protection. Please tap the "Allow Sensor Access" button on the screen to grant permission.
- Q.Can I use this on a PC?
- The values will not respond on a PC that does not have an accelerometer or gyroscope. Please access this tool on a smartphone or tablet.
- Q.What do the tilt values mean?
- Beta (β) represents the front-to-back tilt, Gamma (γ) is the side-to-side tilt, and Alpha (α) is the horizontal rotation, all measured in degrees (°).
- Q.Is the sensor information sent to a server?
- No, all acquired information is processed and displayed exclusively within your browser and is never sent to an external server.
- Q.How accurate is the level?
- It depends on the accuracy of the sensors built into your device. Please use it for daily reference or testing purposes, not for professional construction.
Use Cases
