Glossary

PDF (Portable Document Format)
A document format developed by Adobe that renders identically across different operating systems and devices. Widely used as the global standard for document sharing and archiving.
Image Merging
The process of combining multiple image files into a single PDF document. Ideal for consolidating scanned pages, receipts, or photos into one shareable file.
Page Order
The sequence in which images appear in the final PDF. Drag and drop thumbnail previews to freely rearrange the order before generating the document.
Page Size
The dimensions of each PDF page. This tool supports standard sizes (A4, Letter, Square) as well as a "Fit to Image" option that matches the output page to the original image dimensions.
Image Compression (Quality)
The quality setting for images embedded in the PDF. Higher quality preserves more detail but increases file size; lower quality reduces file size with some loss of sharpness.
Client-Side Processing
Converting images to PDF directly in the browser using JavaScript (jsPDF), without routing data through a server. Confidential documents can be processed safely with no risk of data leakage.
EXIF Data
Metadata embedded in photos taken with digital cameras or smartphones, including timestamp, GPS location, and camera model. EXIF data is not carried over when images are converted to PDF.

FAQ

Q.Are my images saved to a server?
No. Image loading, PDF generation, and download all happen entirely inside your browser. No image files are ever transmitted to an external server.
Q.What image formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP are supported — any format that the browser can render natively.
Q.How many images can I add?
Up to 30 images per PDF. Processing time may increase with many high-resolution images due to browser memory constraints.
Q.Can I change the order of images?
Yes. Drag and drop the thumbnail previews to freely reorder pages. Click the × button on a thumbnail to remove it.
Q.Are page sizes other than A4 supported?
Yes. You can choose from A4, Letter, and Square page sizes, as well as "Fit to Image" which matches each page to the original image dimensions.
Q.Can I password-protect the PDF?
The current version does not support password protection. If you need to add a password, use the PDF Password tool in combination after generating the file.
Q.Can I use it on a smartphone?
Yes. You can upload photos taken on your smartphone directly and convert them to PDF. Great for digitizing paper documents on the go.
